We hope you all enjoyed our first week of SpokeDaily! It was fun to share our favorite reads and thoughts with all of you. And a big hello to our new subscribers!
We covered a lot this week and honestly, so here’s a short recap of the week:
The smart speaker Superbowl ads gave us two different world views from Alexa and Google. On Palindrome day, we celebrated the launch of Voicemasters.ai. Then we got a few more details about the Samsung smart speaker which is launching in South Korea next week. By mid-week, we were talking about Open Voice opinions through posts made by Daniel Tyreus and Matt Buck.
By the latter part of the week, we somehow strangely started talking about Colonel Sanders and Amazon Polly’s custom voice service. That issue also had a must-see presentation by Karen Kaushansky from 2018. Then Sonos did their earnings announcement and their CEO made the interview rounds talking about Sonos’ future and patent lawsuit. In that issue, we talked about eMarketer’s latest report which had so-so to negative news about smart speakers. Finally, we ended talking about Apple who is improving their wakeword recognition and voice identification. Which left us super excited that maybe we can dump Face ID and move to Voice ID to unlock our phones.
Remember when we said Voicemasters was filling a huge need for a scarce resource that is going to an in-demand job quickly? If Walgreen’s need a full-time employee for voice user experience, we’re past the tipping point folks:
Thanks again for being a part of the #voice community and connecting with Spokestack. We’re grateful to be a part of it. If you have any comments, please let us know.
